Description
In this workshop you will alter a second-hand book and make it into a new, personal art journal. You will learn several methods and mixed media techniques to create beautiful and meaningful pages that are totally ‘you.’ Each page of the old book ‘asks’ for its own technique, therefore the mixed media techniques and materials to use differ. Depending on the content of the books, various art journal techniques will be discussed.
Materials & supplies (provided)
- An old book with hard cover
- Supplies & materials to alter and bind the book into a ‘new’ journal
- Mixed Media materials & supplies (paint, ink, watersoluble crayons, collage-images etc.)
- Extra (beneficial) tools & materials such as paint rollers, brushes, glue, heat gun etc.
Things to bring with you:
Permanent markers and pens of your choice (at least a black and a white marker,) scissors, glue (preferably a strong gluestick) and, if you have one, a heatgun. You are free to bring more of your own (preferred) materials with you, but it’s not a must.
